Tristan begins working at award-winning production company Cross Creek Pictures, which has made films such as Black Swan and Hacksaw Ridge.
Alonzo Saxton II hops on Trainhopper as the lead actor.
The basis of what will eventually become Trainhopper first comes to Tristan’s mind at 4AM while not being able to sleep.
Tristan and Alonzo shoot four intense days of test footage in Durham.
Tristan conducts a first round of financing from private donors across LA, Durham, and France, raising nearly 15,000$.
While Jackson flies to NYC for his job at the NBA, Tristan flies back to Durham to meet Duke and Durham officials--he goes over financing, schedule, and locations to shoot.
Tristan creates a detailed budget necessary for the completion of Trainhopper. Jackson hops on Trainhopper as producer.
